Webot
6.1.5 is available for download for Linux
32, Linux
64, Mac
OS X and Windows.
This new version fixes a number of bugs (with ray-cylinder collision
detection, Python 2.6, Mac OS X 10.4 compatibility) and introduces
several improvements in the robotstadium simulation environment. All
the users of Webots are recommended to upgrade to
this new version. The complete change log is available here.

| Robotstadium
heating up before the finals! |

The 2009 edition of the robotstadium competition, based
on the Nao
robot and the Standard
Platform League (SPL) of the RoboCup
soccer competition is heating up before the finals. There are currently
14
competitors participating into the competition which remains open
to new comers until Monday, June 29th 2:30pm (CEST). The finals
will be held during the week of June 29th to July 3rd. The hall
of fame is currently dominated by KaI (Germany) who
did an impressive progression yesterday, followed by Borregos_Nao
(Mexico), UPennalizers
(USA) and many others challengers. Matches are played
every business day and are visible in real time through a webcam
system. According to the most recent match
movies, the level of efficiency of the robots is increasing every
day. The winner of
2009 competition will be awarded a cash prize of 1,000
Swiss Francs as well as a Webots license. |

Cyberbotics to
give a short presentation at RoboCup 2009, Graz, on July 1st

Olivier Michel will
give a presentation about Cyberbotics,
Webots
and Robotstadium at the RoboCup
research symposium to be held on July 1st, 7pm-8pm at the Stadthalle.
The panel entitled "Industry & RoboCup - Enhancing Our Dialogue"
will feature four speakers from the industry, including Aldebaran
Robotics, Cyberbotics, National Instruments, and Microsoft Research,
moderated by Prof. Hans-Dieter Burkhard (Humboldt-Universität zu
Berlin). You are very welcome to attend if you happen to be there! |
